Executive Car Hire Advice
Executive car hire does fall into many separate categories, you could be chauffeur driven to having a Ferrari hired to drive yourself.
If you are hiring a car for self hire
If you are going to hire a car that you are going to be driving yourself, there are some important points you must take in to concern:
- Check the Terms & Conditions of the company — the terms and conditions for each different company could vary, therefore it is very important to read through this carefully, incase there are any hidden charges.
- When hiring the car — make sure you take your driving license with you, to confirm you are eligible to drive.
- Insurance — as the sales representative if you are insured to drive the car, if you are, wht are you covered for. If you are not insured, you could get temporary cover from insurance companies.
- Checks on car — you need to be very careful with this, check every single panel, every single interior part, check for scratches, dents, damaged panels and make the sales representative aware of, as you could end up paying for the repair for this once when you return the car.
- Time & Date — make sure you record the time & date from when you had taken the car from the company's premises and what time and date you had returned it. In this way, you will prevent yourself from receiving tickets through the post.
- Ask for a receipt for your deposit paid; you may deal with another person when you return the car, you need prove that you paid that deposit.
Chauffeur Driven, Airport Services & Others
Don't just rely on the price you could get the service for, look at the services that are being provided by being chauffeur driven. Ask yourself these questions:
- What features does the car have, does it have a DVD player etc
- What services will the chauffeur provide
- Will the car your hiring have enough space for you and your guests
- What areas does it cover
- What are the charges for any over time, extra miles travelled, any breakages
- What are the area coverage
Finally you need to compare the prices, some companies may charge you per person, some per mile and other per day. You have to think about this and find out which one would work best for you.
